Will McConathy has spent his more than 20-year career as an entrepreneur developing and managing clean energy, oil, and natural gas startup projects in North America and South Asia. Prior to founding DAVINCI E&P in 2021, Mr. McConathy was the founder and CEO of TERRACORE, and its subsidiaries and affiliates, from 2010-2020. Asset acquisitions and operations included Mr. McConathy’s purchase and revitalization of the prolific Cat Canyon Oil Field in Santa Maria, California and its several hundred producing wells under his leadership at Terracore Operating Company LLC (a/k/a Cat Canyon Resources) from 2017-2020.
Mr. McConathy has formerly served on the Board of Trustees of ACE Scholarships and Early Milestones, as well as a Board member and Chairman of the Investment Committee at Constellation Philanthropy in Denver, Colorado.
Mr. McConathy holds a B.A from Middlebury College in Vermont.
Ms. Hayes spent 18 years in private equity and venture capital with Quadrant Capital Advisors and GDBA. Investments included minority and majority stakes across a wide range of sectors with a focus on energy, power and infrastructure in U.S. and global markets. Ms. Hayes has experience in strategic finance and accounting roles such as CFO, M&A and advisory, and forensic investigations and business valuations. While with PricewaterhouseCoopers, she earned the New York Office Chairman's Award for exceptional leadership and performance.
Ms. Hayes is a Certified Public Accountant and serves as audit chair of a NASDAQ listed company. She received her Bachelor of Science in Finance with honors from Villanova University and Master of Science in Finance from the University of Denver Daniels College of Business.
Pat McConathy has spent the last 40 years working to further energy production within the United States. In 1990, Mr. McConathy formed Phoenix Oil and Gas, which focused on the purchasing of existing oil and gas producing properties. In 2002, Phoenix began acquiring and operating properties onshore and offshore California under an operating subsidiary called DCOR, LLC, ultimately acquiring eleven of the twenty-one offshore platforms located in both state and federal waters.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. McConathy has served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Colorado State University (CSU), Board of Trustees member at Middlebury College, Chairman of the Board at the Vail Mountain School, as well as Chairman for organizations such as the United Way for Northwest Louisiana and Chairman for Congressman Buddy Roemer’s successful campaign for Governor of Louisiana in 1987.
Mr. McConathy is a graduate of Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Christina McConathy joined Davinci in October 2021 as its Chief Administrative Officer. Ms. McConathy leads the company’s Accounting, Tax and Human Resources departments.
Prior to joining the company, she was the VP, Accounting, and then later Chief Administrative Officer of Terracore LLC, and its operating subsidiaries, from 2010-2021 where she had similar responsibilities overseeing all accounting, insurance, human resources, payroll, benefits, finance and banking integration, and compliance related matters.
She received a B.A. from the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul) and has earned numerous certifications in Organizational Development & Design.
Brian Buchanan has spent his more than 40-year career managing thermal oil projects in California and overseas. Prior to joining Mr. William McConathy at Terracore in 2018 as the Chief Technical Advisor, he was a strategic engineering consultant for companies such as Chevron and PetroRock/Vaquero in various capacities from 2011 to 2018. Prior to his senior consulting roles, Mr. Buchanan was an Engineering Advisor for Production Operations at Vintage Petroleum (Oxy) and Senior Field Engineer at Occidental Petroleum from 1999 to 2012. Mr. Buchanan also served as a Production Engineer and Team Lead in Production for Shell and Texaco from 1981 to 1999.
Mr. Buchanan has significant experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in reconfiguring facilities design, and maximizing surface and subsurface operations including subject mastery in the areas of surveillance, well work, heavy oil / thermal operations, and comprehensive facilities management.
Mr. Buchanan has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from California State University at Long Beach..
Ty Hunt joined Davinci in May 2022 as the Applied Sciences and Design Lead. In his role at Davinci, he is responsible for research and development, technology and process testing, product demonstration, and development. In addition, Mr. Hunt oversees various management, safety, and information technology matters. As one of the people responsible for the company's product development, he leads our AS&D team out of the Santa Maria, California laboratory location.
Prior to joining Davinci, Mr. Hunt also worked at Terracore (Cat Canyon Resources) for Mr. McConathy where his expertise has concentrated in thermal oil and gas and energy recovery for the past 15 years, specializing in high pressure, high temperature instrumentation, electrical & automation (IE&A), process and facilities integration matters, and operational technologies/ information systems.
Mr. Hunt is a Microsoft Certified Professional (Hyper-V Virtualization specialization). He received his A.S. degree in computer science and networking.
Yu Jun Han brings over 30 years of geoscience expertise to the Davinci team. As part of his role, he oversees data collection, quality control, formation evaluation, field mapping, and provides technical support to the entire team.
Prior joining Davinci in 2022, Mr. Han worked as a petrophysical advisor for several major oil companies, including California Resources Corporation, Occidental Petroleum, Suncor Energy Inc., and Petro Canada. He also served as a senior geoscientist and field engineer for Baker Hughes Canada. His extensive career has taken him across seven countries, where he gained broad experience working with a variety of rocks, both domestic and international, including inland and offshore sites. Mr. Han's research and fieldwork have covered a diverse range of geological scales, from nanoscale to field scale.
Mr. Han holds a bachelor’s degree in Geophysics, along with more than 20 advanced oil industry training certificates. He has also completed specialized courses at the University of Calgary and Stanford University.
Meagan Harmon joined Davinci in November 2022 as its General Counsel. Ms. Harmon spent five years at the global law firm of Morrison & Foerster, where she was trained in corporate transactions, with an emphasis on project and real estate finance. Prior to joining Davinci, Ms. Harmon was in-house counsel for a public company active in the electric vehicle space called Ideanomics.
She is currently a member of the Santa Barbara City Council and, in 2021, was appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom as a voting member of the California Coastal Commission.
Ms. Harmon received her J.D. from New York University School of Law, her M.A. from Harvard University, and her B.A. from Wellesley College.
Eric Eddy joined the team as Director, Operations in December 2022, and he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Davinci in September 2023. Immediately prior to coming on board at Davinci, Mr. Eddy was drilling and frac'ing the first single, and 2-well, horizontal geothermal system in the USA forFervo Energy - a Breakthrough Energy Ventures company - at the Blue Mountain Field near Winnemucca, Nevada in Q3 2022.
Mr. Eddy's foray into geothermal energy was a pivot from the oil and gas industry where he had spent the previous 20 years of his career. From 2016-2018, Eric was the Director of Drilling Engineering at Antero, where he oversaw the drilling of hundreds of horizontal wells per year with a Capex budget of over $1 billion. By the end of Eric’s tenure at Antero, the company was drilling 200,000 more total feet than in previous years for nearly half the cost – saving the company hundreds of millions of dollars in Capex costs. In addition, Eric consulted for several oil and gas companies on various well construction projects, from wellsite supervision to well design to implementing safety systems, and worked for large and small operators on modern horizontal drilling and completions projects in nearly every major US O&G basin, with modern drilling rigs and cutting edge drilling technologies.
Eric specializes in devising and implementing operational strategy and building robust systems to support ongoing operations capable of top tier delivery.
Prior to joining the Davinci team, Robert was creating, renewing, and positioning brands through narrative and storytelling for over 25 years. His focus at Robert Louey Design has always been in creating powerful cultures, resonant content and memorable designs that reflect the authentic nature of the organization.
Mr. Louey's work spans three decades, over 28 countries, innumerable cultures and includes diverse industries such as hospitality, entertainment, finance, fashion, aerospace, manufacturing, dining, and wellness. His focus has always been in creating deeply resonant and relevant platforms from a human perspective, easily activated from an operational perspective.
A recipient of over 300 design, communications and industry awards, his work also resides in the permanent collection of the Library of Congress. A bicoastal resident with New York street smarts and a California calm, he is all American with the broad perspective, of a lifelong global citizen.
James Terry brings more than 30 years of IT experience to the Davinci team, with particular expertise leveraging enterprise technology to support the work of startups and small and medium business (SMB) enterprises. Mr. Terry is responsible for all aspects of Davinci’s information technology strategy, including architecture and planning, software, hardware, project implementation and management.
Prior to joining Davinci in 2021, Mr. Terry founded his first IT consulting firm in 1993 after attending The University of Colorado, providing leading technology innovation and implementation of projects for more than 50 companies in that time, and additionally founded and run an internet hosting company and 4 software development ventures.
Mr. Terry lives in Denver, Colorado, with his wife and three children. He is a keen hockey fan, and the majority of his off time is spent at ice rinks coaching, playing and cheering for his kid's hockey games and figure skating events.
Prisca Boris brings 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry to the DAVINCI team. Starting with Phoenix Oil & Gas in 1994, and later with Yarmony Energy, and TERRACORE, Prisca is instrumental in business development, client relations and financial interest management.
Over the course of her career with Pat McConathy and Phoenix Oil & Gas, Prisca was instrumental in the acquisition of onshore and offshore California properties operated by DCOR, LLC. She continues to manage those finances for clients who hold interest in these properties.
Prisca is an avid outdoors woman. Her favorite sports are skiing and bike riding. In her earlier years she completed professionally on the World Pro Mogul Tour and even had a few appearances in Powder Magazine, brochures for various ski resorts and features in Warren Miller movies.
Ms. Boris holds a B.A. from New England College, in Henniker New Hampshire, with a double major in economics and psychology.
